The parts of a university diploma we recreate

Most U.S. college diplomas share the same building blocks. Knowing them makes it easy to fill in your order form.

Institution line

The school name as you want it displayed, set in a formal blackletter or serif face. On stock designs you can also use a general or fictional institution name.

Degree and major

The conferral wording, the degree title (for example, Bachelor of Science) and, if your school prints it, the field of study.

Graduate name and date

Your name as you would like it shown and the conferral date. Keepsake copies can use your current name.

Seal and signatures

Stock layouts use our own seal artwork and generic signature lines. Match style follows the reference you are authorized to provide.

Paper and finish

Printed copies ship on heavyweight parchment-style stock. Digital files are print-ready PDFs you can take to any print shop.

Honors line (optional)

A degree is the academic award your school confers; the college diploma is the printed document that certifies it. You keep the degree whether or not you have the paper. Our keepsakes recreate the document for display, never the degree itself.

Many U.S. bachelor's diplomas are 8.5 × 11 inches, and some schools use 11 × 14 inches or larger. Each product page lists the print size of our display copy so you can plan wall space.

Request a replacement from your registrar's office; many schools route orders through Parchment. If the college closed, your state higher-education agency usually holds the records. A Hey Congrats! display copy is a separate keepsake.
