Who writes our guides

Our blog guides are written by the Hey Congrats team. Each post is published under one of three pen names that match its topic: Bradley Larsen (GED and high school records), Jared Thompson (templates and design) and Marc Buccat (certificates, awards and general topics). You can read about each one on our Our Authors page.

How posts are written

Posts are drafted with AI help. A member of our team checks each draft before it is published.

How we cite sources

When a post covers records, rules or requirements, we link to the organization responsible for them, such as your school or district, GED Testing Service (GED.com), your state education agency or the National Student Clearinghouse. Sources are listed at the end of each post, and we check that each link works before adding it.

Updates and corrections

Each post shows the date it was published. When our team revises a post, an "Updated" date appears at the top. If you spot something out of date or incorrect, please tell us through our Contact page and we will review it.
