How we make our products

This page explains how Hey Congrats turns the details you submit into a personalized display or commemorative diploma, transcript, or certificate. Every product is non-official. None of them replace a school-issued record.

1. What you send us

Each product page lists the personalization fields for that layout—typically names, dates, school or program wording, honors, and any optional upgrades. You confirm those details at checkout (or through a custom request). We design from what you provide; we do not verify enrollment or confer degrees.

2. Layout and typesetting

Our team sets your wording into the template you chose, matching the style shown on the product page. For custom projects, we follow the files and notes you send through our custom request form. Eligible products may offer a preview or sample path—see free sample requests when you want to review a layout before a full order.

3. Materials

Paper stock, size, and finish options depend on the product. Listings spell out what is included (for example, digital-only vs. printed hard copy). Accessories such as diploma covers and seal add-ons are sold separately or as upgrades on eligible SKUs—always check the product page for what ships with that item.

4. Printing and finishing

We print your personalized layout in-house, then apply any finishing you selected for that product (such as a cover or metallic seal add-on). Finishing choices are product-specific; if an option is not listed on the page, it is not included.

5. What’s included

The personalized display or commemorative document(s) described on your product listing
Any upgrades or accessories you added at checkout
Digital delivery and/or a printed hard copy when that product offers those options

Packaging and UPS shipping follow the selections you make at checkout and our Shipping policy.

6. Turnaround

Timing depends on the product and whether we already have everything needed to complete the order. Per our Shipping policy, small orders typically ship within 1–2 business days; some custom work takes longer, and bulk orders can take from 1 to 7 weeks depending on quantity and customization. Our Disclaimer also notes that same-day handling for digital copies (and same-day processing/mailing for print copies) applies when the order is placed before 12:00 pm Eastern; orders after 12:00 pm Eastern are processed the next business day.
